Situated just 30km from Smithfield in the Free State, this selfcatering fully furnished farmhouse provides four spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, including both a  shower and bath. The fully equipped kitchen makes for a perfect place to cook and eat family meals and since the entire holding is run on solar power there is no need to worry about a power failure.

 

Welgeval is a working farm and one of the few places where you can wake with the sights and sounds of farm life. There is no need to worry about running into other guests since there is only one house on the entire farm and you are staying in it! The working farm is home to an assortment of animals such as merino sheep, cows and wildlife. Depending on the time of year, most of these animals range freely around the property.

The built-in braai area on the veranda offers a relaxing atmosphere while the farm dam provides a place for the family to cool off during hot summer days and the fire place is the perfect spot to snuggle up to on those cold winter nights.
